Michael Madhusudan Dutt,
Michael Madhusudan Dutta, (25 January 1824 – 29 June 1873) was Bengali writer and screenwriter . He was the main extraordinary writer of current Bengali writing. [1] He was instructed at the Hindu School , Calcutta. In 1843, he turned into a Christian. He was conceived in Sagordari, a town in Keshobpur Upozila, Jessore Region , East Bengal (now in
Bangladesh ). He was a pioneer of Bengali dramatization. His well known work
Meghnad Bodh Kavya , is a disastrous
epic. It has nine cantos and is extraordinary in Bengali writing both regarding style and substance. He additionally composed sonnets about the distresses and agonies of affection as talked by ladies.
From an early age, Dutt needed to be an Englishman in shape and way. In later life, he lamented his fascination in Britain and the
Occident . He composed affectionately of his country in his ballads and poems from this period.
His initial works were in English, yet they were unsuccessful. He turned, reluctantly at to begin with, to Bengali. His fundamental works, composed generally in the vicinity of 1858 and 1862, incorporate composition show, long account sonnets, and verses. His first play, Sarmistha (1858), was generally welcomed. His poetical works are Tilottamasambhab (1860), an account ballad on the tale of Sunda and Upasunda;
Meghnadbadh (1861), his most imperative piece, an epic on the Rāmāyaṇa topic; Brajangana (1861), a cycle of verses on the
Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa topic; and
Birangana (1862), an arrangement of 21 epistolary ballads on the model of Ovid's Heroides.
Dutt is generally said to be one of the best artists in Bengali writing . He is the father of the
Bengali work . He was the first to make what came to be called
amitrakshar chhanda ( clear verse). Dutt kicked the bucket in Kolkata, India on 29 June 1873.[2]
